Pretty certain the triple trees for 06 and up on all Dyna's will all fit each other. Just the differences in rake, wide glide/mid glides, wheel spacing etc. but in thereory there should be nothing stopping you bolting a complete front end off any other 06 and up Dyna's to another
What about wheel tho? I want to put a 21 on my 06 fxdl but I dont understand anything about it. The only specs I can find is the diameter of the tubes. No information on what size hubs will fit in, wheel spacer sizes, distance between tubes. I'm lost about it all really.
On my wheel size chart it says I can run a 21x3.5 with a 120/70-21 with "no motorcycle modification" so can I just but a wheel with the 1inch bearings will the rotor still line up?

21x3.25 is bagger sizing. Youll need either wide glide or fatbob triple trees for it to fit. A standard dyna triple tree would run a 21x2.15
There are 21 x 3.5 rims that will fit a mid glide but it is the hub width that determines if it'll fit so that the rotor lines up. Spacers can be ordered to get your wheel centered as long as everything is for 1" axle.
All OE 21" Rims regardless of being Narrow or Wide glides are 2.15 ... No OE Mid-glide 21"
The 19" Cast alloy "Mags" are where the 2.15 NG (& thinner on real early stuff) vs 2.5 Mid-glide difference comes in
Btw, "Charts" can be really helpful, but also can be a disservice if applied incorrectly.
In this case, the chart is probably saying that a 21x 3.25 Rim - 120/70 Tire will physically fit between the sliders / fender, but only after dealing with what it would take to fit a hub.
The chart is provided by people who build wheels so they can take care of all that
