I have the opportunity to buy a re-poed 04 black Low Rider. It has about 13,000 miles on it. It has a bunch of bolt on chrome covers (worthless to me) and a Chrome HD front wheel on it. It will need tires and a battery but the bike runs and drives good, I know since I went and picked it up for the Company. I enjoyed riding it and wouldn't mind having it as a 2nd bike if I could buy it right. What do you guys think it would be worth? NADA has low retail at like 4865.
if I were you I would use that NADA value and knock off 50% off what it would cost for everything it needs. Then slap some tires on it and sell it for 6500.
since its a repo is there a certain dollar value that they need to get for it? like an amount owed to the bank?
No, they had a loan with several things on. The owner took bankruptcy and the credit union pretty much eats what the difference is. I've actually stored the bike for them for several months so that should be worth something.
I paid $6000 for my 04 FXDI with 10K miles from the original owner, bike was mint after I cleaned the 1+ years worth of garage grime of her. I was looking at a bike at my local HD dealer, that NADA you received is very close to the $4500 they offered me. I don't know much about the NADA and if values change based on your location, but I imagine they would.
Fatboy Brian, is that an ole Autocar or B Model Mack in you avatar? Wait maybe a Brockway lol.
Back in the day the Low Riders were chromed out (to use the term), coming from the factory. My 05 LR is a real eye catcher with no added chrome to speak of.

It's the "Duel Truck" my favorite movie. It'a a Peterbilt I think.
