So I've got these on order, and ToplineTubes is shipping me some gold 49mm fork tubes (standard dyna config) as well. Given that I'm installing on an FXDLS, what else will I need to change so that these install properly on the bike? For example, will I need to replace the fork bottoms with say, OEM street bob components?
"Fork Bottoms" ?...You may only need to get another STD "Oil Lock Piece"

Fork seal driver, 2 fork seal kits... or at the minimum the 2 dust seals, 2 oil seals, and 2 crush washers. You might need a fork oil level tool as well. You can reuse your fork sliders.
Update: My order for this kit shipped earlier this week are are slated for UPS delivery tomorrow!
Damn, Howard said he would ship mine asap so I could be "the first" to get them, but i said hold them until he had the time to figure out the optimal modification as he usually does with his Ohlins products. I'm slightly regretting that. Slightly.
Sorry Mchad, but another distributor told me them have been shipping them for awhile. I was going to order my set ($805 for the two cartridges, two springs and quart of Ohlin fluid), but I think I will wait a few weeks and see what kind of results you guys get. I also read the install manual from Ohlin and I think there may be some holes in the procedure. Also curious what Howard does to modify them.
Got my 41mm socket this morning, hope to do the install tomorrow
I don't have the two special ohlins Tools (to compress the spring and hold the shaft), I'll try without !

Yeah, I don't really mind. Either way, modded or not, I'm sure they will be an improvement over the springs and emulators I currently have. But I'm looking forward to Fred's review...
