Nice thread man. I hit up local indies for goodies 'cause HD is kinda spendy and slow! You're pretty lucky to have the riding near by that you do. I have to head west from Edmonton a few hours before it gets fun.
I've taken 22 south from 16; not too bad. Is there pavement on the Lodgepole secondaries going north and south? In truth; I have a trailer setup just to take our two Dyna's to Red Deer or, more often, Calgary to start from. Waste of time and tire from here to there on 4 lane...But you are right; not much near Edmonton interesting on a two wheeler.
Man, that's just one of many reasons why there is a strong aftermarket for Harleys. The MoCo has the absolute worst waiting period on parts....
I definitely do shop after market for most of the stuff, which all has to be shipped outta the US, but for the stuff from HD its always a couple weeks away

Thanks! I do a little photography on the side, kind of as a paying hobby so it pays off for personal photos haha!
You have quite the mods on your fxdf!

Seems like every month there's some sort of sale going on, %20 or even higher sometimes! Do you ride down to calgary much?

Thanks man! I saw your build thread and its looking great! What part of Utah you in? I may be heading to Salt Lake City in the summer, make a weekend ride out of it!
Not a very good picture but I brought the bar, luggage rack, side plates and pad to work today to assemble.
I ride solo but I thought the bar would look kinda bare without the pad, it also leaves the option for later on if I wanted to take the solo bag off and put passenger pegs back on.
Is the luggage rack weight capacity seriously only 10 lbs... or has anyone pushed it a little further haha?
Looks good quick question about the rack can I buy that and mount it to my detachable sissy bar or is that all one piece ? My fiancé bought me well herself a sissy bar for Xmas but I don't her I didn't want a luggage rack because on my sportster it was not detachable ... Thanks for any Info
Part number on luggage rack would be very appreciated

Yep that's exactly what its for, the detachable sissy bar. You basically take out the bolts that hold the bar to the side plates, slide this rack between them and use the longer bolts that come with the rack. Little red loc tite and torque to 8-10 ft lbs and you're set!
Unfortunately I dont have the part number handy, I'll see if the box is still in the garbage on tuesday at work
