I put my windsheild on this afternoon for a ride because I had eaten about a thousand bees and bugs for breakfast this morning. I'm just trying to take better care of myself nowadays and watch what I eat.lol
My question is to you others that use windsheilds is have you noticed how much having the windsheild on seems to amplify all the noises of the engine.

Did you ever try riding without hanging your mouth wide open? It'll cut those thousand bugs down to about two or three if your carefull. Not to mention how silly you look with your mouth open and the air being slammed in doing 70 with your cheeks about to explode.

Mine comes off when I'm not doing long highway rides. The motor noise you appear to hear more is the same as it ever was (this is not my house...). You just hear it more because a significant amount of the wind is blocked.

I rode to work yesterday without the windshield to see how it would feel. Did about 70-75 mph on the freeway. Ears hurt like hell and it felt like the wind was going to ripe my helmet off! Used goggles so my eyes were OK. Put the windshield back on for the ride today. Neck wasn't sore from fighting the wind and my ears were just fine. Noise is noise out there and I really didn't notice that much difference other then the wind wasn't hurting the ears. I am leaving the shield on for high speed runs and taking it off for around town.
