well the hollywood is installed. that thing is stiff. hurt the but bones on a fifty mile ride. hope it softens up. im left with the street bob solo and pass pad. you guys warned me i would get rid of the seat and shouldn't by the pad... and you were right, now i have no need for either. so it goes.
do these corbn seats change or will i? right now im feeling the stock seat was more comfortable, hopefully that'll change.
I don't know about the Corbin but my first and only Lepera Bare Bones was down right painful! It even had 'biker gel' installed...great looking seats, butt...
I've had a Corbin on my last few bikes...The firmness takes a bit of time to get used to but you wont go back to a lesser seat...Got 4,000 miles onthe Hollywood solo thats on my 07 Bobber and I think I put around 28-30k on the one on my 05 RoadGlide before I traded it in...Patience Grasshopper
98.. got sore at 50 miles on stock..at 100 I would have to stop and take a break. With the Hollywood ..no problems....been happy with it since install. You might need the cush cush seat.....good luck
The Corbin takes a little getting used to but once you do, it is the best seat out there. I have had nothing else on my bikes since 1995, and have ridden thousands of miles on them with many 500 to 600 mile days.
The Corbin Hollywood Solo seat that you bought is not for riding long distances, it is made for cruising around town. You might want toget a Corbin Classic Solo possibly as a secondary seat. The Corbin Classic Solo seats are made for the long ride and are extremely comfortable. At first, many people say theyare hard, but after break in they are very comfortable - I thought they were very comfortable right out of the box. I have the Corbin Classic Solo on My Road King and my wifes Low Rider and I give it high reviews on both bikes.
I had the Corbin Classic Solo installed at their Hollister factory. They told me that the seat would break in over a period of roughly 1,000 miles. My experience confirmed that. The fit was perfect from the beginning, but it rode a little stiff. By the time I had a thousand miles on it, it had broken in nicely and was providing a very comfortable ride.
I have had mine for some time now. I personally love it. I like the look of it on my bike and the comfort. I don't know if the seat broke in or if I just got use to it. I have made two seperate trips from North of Philly to Hatteras, N.C. on it no problems. Had to take some brakes however.
