[:@]I was sitting on my bike yesterday, waxing the tank, when I lost my balance and she went to the right. I grabed the handle bars and pulled her back up and when I did the right blinker conemust have put some presure on the top side of the tank. Does anyone know of a good PDR place in Austin?
If it doesn't have any creases in it you can use dry ice to pop the dent out.
Heat the dent with a hair dryer and then wrap the dry ice in a rag and put on it. You sometimes have to do it a few times but it will work most of the time.
I have been hearing that from the guys at work all day. So, I will give it a try when I get home and post some before & after pics (if it works). Thanks for the reply.

i have noticed i have a small dent in my softail tank near the seat. about the size of golf ball. i have no idea how it got there. the paint is perfect and glossy. the only thing i can think is that i might have gotten it with my knee while trying to push start the bike, but it looks to me like it would take a lot of pressure to get this dent into the tank.
anyway, did the dry ice thing work? should i give it a try? are there any potential downfalls to this method?
Well, i did try it and I think it might have worked a little. It's really hard to tell. Bottom line it, I used the hairdryer and some ice about 6 times on it. I could not fine any dry ice at my local store, so i used ice cubes from the fridge. I guess i will give another shot this week with dry-ice.
