Well; still can't get over the Smoky and the Bandit paint scheme; maybe it's my age...
But, the factory 110's can get a 117 drop on kit for a few more inches and there are dealer tunes available for it already, so this could be a real showroom hot rod.
As far as $4G over; welcome to capitalism.....you won't be forced to buy from them but they must figure someone will. If I were buying used I'd much rather have something made primarily of factory parts than a strangers shade tree/internet recipe of aftermarket stuff; and then I would go from there (As I did with my old FXDXT and my current FXDF; both bought used)
Yea, where did the +2 suspension information come from? I'm not seeing it.
This is all I'm seeing.
Stock Low Rider:
Seat Height, Laden
25.4 in.
Seat Height, Unladen
26.8 in.
Low Rider S:
Seat Height
26.6 in.
You can see in the pics it has the premium shocks so I'd guess it has the fork cartridge as well. I'm not sure if the changes the ride height or keeps it at/or close to regular Low Rider height.
I don't get the stupid bobbed rear fender on a Low Rider. Other than that it's ok looking. I'd put some money in the motor of my current Low Rider before buying that though..
I'd also prefer a little chrome and a color other than black, but I gotta say, the MoCo is FINALLY moving in the right direction.

Adding a little chrome if you want it wont be hard. For me i wish the engine was gloss black instead of flat black. Most will change out the exhaust and changing it to chrome would add just enough chrome to the bike. I think id keep all blacked out tho especially with the bronze wheels.

I think a black treatment against a bright color looks good. Black on black is just too much. To my eye, it looks like a glob of nothingness. From a distance, I probably couldn't even tell one bike from another.
Personally, I think the 103 is plenty strong. I'd be willing to part with a few hundred extra just to get a standard "Low Rider" with a proper suspension. Not sure about paying several thousand more for an all black bike with a bigger, but only marginally more powerful engine. Especially when I'd then have to go out and buy a bunch of shiny bits just to give the bike a little form.
I'd buy it....But I just finished building mine.
If it was an FXR re-issue, I'd be waiting at the dealer the first day that they came in and buy the first one off the truck!

I agree every bike needs at least a little chrome to make it pop. I think the engine has enough chrome on the edge of the heat fins and stuff to prevent it from looking like a black blob. And i think between that and adding chrome slip ons it would be plenty. Im really diging the new Arlen Ness mufflers by Magnaflow. I think they would work well with this and or there full exhaust.
