Recommended oil filter? Coming up on the 1k service. Just getting an idea of what else is out there besides the harley filters. So far, deciding between Amsoil and the K&N. Thoughts or opinions?
Had good experience with K&N on all my sportster builds. I like the fact they have a 1/2 inch nut on the end for easy removal, don't need the HD filter tool.
Is everyone paying about sticker? A few pages back someone said they got it for $2000 off sticker. I'd feel like a real a$$ if everyone was getting there's for that price.

I feel like not everyone includes EVERYTHING in their OTD price. I paid $20.8 including taxes, fees, reg, everything in Northern CA.

For my 16 which I bought back in June 2016, I paid straight MSRP plus freight, setup, DMV fees and sales tax. (California DMV fees and sales taxes are high.) I think is was about $19,660 all together for the "out the door" price.
I wanna say the MSRP was $16,990 or something like that (under $17k). For 17, the MSRP I understand is over $17k.
At that time, the bike had only been out for about a month or two and supply was limited at all the dealers around me (about 5 or 6 within 100 miles).
I could have got a deal on the standard Low Rider but I wanted the S with all of the extras that come stock with it.

I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation on cable length for brake and clutch (beat to death subject). I'm swapping to some 6" night train risers and a set of 3.5" rise 30" width big als handlebars and was wondering if plus 2 or plus 4 length would be the way to go since the bars are more narrow and already seem to have decent slack. I don't want to be drawn too tight but not so much loose slack too.
