I'm trying to decide if I want to change from what I have over to a FXR fairing. I like the uniqueness of the look but might want it to look a little more cleaner.
Im in the process of mounting the Deviant Factory line fairing on my 06 FXD. Im not a rush since winter is setting in but I am looking forward to the riding season in the spring !!!
I just installed a deviant fabrication fairing on my 06 streetbob. I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing difficulties inserting your key into the ignition and turning on any other kits or an I the only one experiencing this?
there is no clearance and its extremely tight trying to blindly fit the key in and turning it.
right now getting the bike painted a 2 tone, and some powder coating on fork lowers and triple trees and other misc parts. also put big als kick back risers and lucky daves moto bars. can't wait to get it all back together!
These fairings are nice! Damn, do I buy a Dyna and make it an FXRT or just buy a Road Glide?
And on the flip side of the coin I have a road glide and have been thinking about going back to a dyna. A bike almost 200 lbs lighter and a cheaper note to boot are hard points to argue.

Can you post some pics of the inside of the fairing? You got tunes? How is that fairing on windy days?
Can you guys tell me how these mount? I've found a few drawings of the brackets but it isn't very clear how it actually mounts to the bike, almost looks as if it just clamps onto the neck? Do the different companies use different mounting setups? Any input on which fairings are better and which to avoid? I don't mind spending more for a superior product but I'd like to know what you guys think are the better quality both in terms of fairing quality and mounting system quality
