Thanks Rideon, I was told that the lower part of the Vacant House fairings are a little different, I just want to make sure when I buy some they are the correct fit.
Yes I completely understand, the fairings and lowers are very expensive, hope it works out the first time around. You will love the setup, very nice pocket of clean air!
Didn’t see an answer to this question, what size tbar is need to clear the screen? I’ve heard that some setups hit the windshield. I have what is effectively a 12” bar. That is measured from the base to the top of the handle bar.
Any reviews on the Russ Wernimont fairings? I see their kits on eBay pretty affordable. And I see a few in this thread, but just pictures, not really any reviews. Just wondering the quality.

I have the RWD fairing and I think the quality is pretty good, although I haven't compared it to any other fairings. I can say that Russ offered really good customer service to me. I ordered the fairing mount kit from an internet aftermarket dealer. The dealer sent me the wrong kit and after calling RWD, on a Saturday, to get help in mounting the kit, I was able to speak directly to Russ and texted him pictures of the mount and determined it was an FXR mount. He told me to send the fairing mount directly back to him and then sent me the correct mounting kit which kept me from having to work an exchange through a dealer. I thought that was pretty cool of him.
Ill have a RWD fairing in the next week or so and I'm looking to see what y'all suggest as far as a speaker system. What size speakers is everybody running? Also, without trying to add a big single din or something like that, what are you doing as far as Bluetooth and being able to connect to a phone but still having a quality equalizer? Small amp with built in Bluetooth?
So I was able to mount 6.5 speakers on mine. 6.5 is pushing it, but its more to do with the speaker and not the holes for the speaker. I also went with a bluetooth amp that tucks in the area where a radio would normally go and a remote which is the rectangle hole on the bottom left of the fairing.
At the risk of this becoming my own personal thread, I figured I'd say thanks for all the info. Finally got mine painted and mounted. Now its time to ride.

Just got my fairing mounted and next up is the lowers. Its running the 8 Clearview which JD sent because of the bars I am running. 8 risers and sportster sport bars. They are narrower and need the shorter shield. The wind management is very good and I have no buffeting. Just clean air around the helmet. The mounting bracket on this kit is the best I have seen. It comes with a billet neck clamp and a steel bracket that bolts to the clamp. Very sturdy.
