Picture shows the lower fiberglass, but not the lower brackets. We'll know when it arrives.
That was one of my many questions about this kit. I contacted the seller and the only info they would give me is "They come from China. They fit 'blah blah and blah' models."
this is my first post. I just bought FLSB Sport Glide (2020) and i am looking forward to buy FXRT fairing. I have some doubts. Maybe you can help?
What is the minimum raiser height and position which will work with the fairing? 6 inch pull back is max. whic can be fitted with standard cables and break line. Would it work?
I would like to use also small fairing which came with the bike and it would look funny with extremly high bar. Also the driving position for me would be more comfortable.

Hi all. Ive read many pages of this thread but admittedly not all 42 pages. Im interested in getting the full fairing including the lower parts but the price of these astounds. Given there are many about, more than a few sellers and they are just a fibreglass product made from a mould, why are they so damn expensive?
I know, they can be crazy expensive. I have seen a couple of original pairs go for $900 plus and on eBay well over a grand recently. I have a pair of unmounted OEMs that when I bought them I thought were expensive. I don't really understand how the reproductions are so expensive as you said they're just fibreglass and moulds. I guess it's things like overheads that they have to cover that bumps up the price. The ones that get me are the ones filled in to accommodate the speakers built in the lowers. They go for around $700!! Made by a guy called Tommy. Fair play to him, if he's got people that are willing to shell out that kind of money on a pair. I live overseas so I can't justify paying that kind of money plusshipping plus import duties. I would be looking at paying $1500 hahaha.
Luckily the fairings and lowers are popular around the world and have spawned quite a few people to make the repops. Have you looked at some of them?
I also love os and Im not aware of any people
local to me making them. As a matter of fact, nobody in my country even cares for the look of dynas with fairings, the old fxr bikes that are all desirable in the states.
The cost of the fairings and lowers, brackets, paint, shipping, import tax and unfavourable exchange rate makes it a crazy proposition for me. If the fairings and brackets were reasonably priced, Id import some. But its not gonna happen for me unless somebody sells them at a reasonable price.
Funny I can buy a Mitsubishi Lancer evolution or Subaru wrx sti fibreglass rear or front spoiler for less which is much more fibreglass, the the mould is more intricate on these car front spoilers too. Just seems crazy.
One person could buy one of the best replica fairing and lowers, take a mould themselves, sell for half the price and still be making money. Id do that myself but theres no demand for them where I come from.
I thought with **** in the name you mighta been from the U.K. or Ireland, but Australia! that's cool. I'm from Ireland and have lived in the States but now I live in Thailand. About a year and a half ago I came across a guy that was selling a pair of beat-up clamshell bags, ,I saved the post but never got in touch with him. Took a lot of scrolling to find him. This fella is on Instagram in Australia goes by the name Kongytilldead. I just looked at his page and he's got a fairing on an FXR and lowers on a different looking FXR. He's been liked by a guy here in Thailand that makes them. I can't vouch for him, try checking with him (Kongytilldead)where he bought them.

I dont think its funny at all lol the irony. Anyways, its just production efficiency and mass production. Doesnt matter if the shapes are more
intricate when the molds are dialed in. Soon you will get a whole fxrt fairing kit a lot cheaper, just wait. 1000usd now, but bet the price will go as low as 500usd for the whole kit. Just speculating tho. T-sport fairing is under 100usd already, just saying.
