I'm looking at a 2013 fxdwg. The seat looks like a stock setup, but the passenger seat looks wider. Just curious to know if anyone has this seat. And if it is two pieces, where I can unbolt the passenger section and ride solo. Or if it's just a one piece two up seat. Thanks.
Doesn't look like the stock seat to me. I think that is a mustang wide solo and passenger pillion. To answer your question, yes you can remove the passenger piece and ride solo. You may need a fender bib to cover up marks the passenger seat will no doubt have left on your fender.
The pillion is an HD, the smooth passenger pillion # 51404-10, the seat is stock. It's a two piece so you can remove it but the Wide Glide doesn't look quite right as a solo setup; I did my Wide Glide with the Le Pera Bare Bones with pillion and did the foot pegs, even though no one ever has or ever will ride as a passenger
I have the exact same set up my 13 wg as per the OP picture. As mentioned by Tin cup it is a HD seat. I bought mine as a an upgrade for the missus as the original was not very comfortable apparently. She thinks it is a good seat. As mentioned it is a 2 piece
