Was wondering your opinion on getting a windshield or a fairing for a fat bob? I love the look now without anything. It looks so badass. But I also wanna cut down on wind and bugs beating the crap out of me. What are your opinions in what looks better? If you could, could you please post pics.
I put the Harley quick detach on mine and I hate it, it does a great job of keeping the wind from hitting me directly but sure beats my head up. I have raised, lowered it, tilted it, cut it down, and It still isn't great. Some guys never have a problem though.

I did the same, ended up with MS Batwing. Not perfect but better than the Harley quik connect by a long shot.
Have the quick detach, certainly get less beaten up with it on but as others say I prefer bike without it. Only put t on for touring distances/trips when also run bags as per picture.
Cheapest way out is to wear a full face helmet if the wind is getting to you. I find it a whole lot cheaper than putting an ugly windshield on. I like riding with the ff. You don't get fatigued as oppose to riding without.
I would love to ride without either but it is just too fatiguing for me so I went for the minimalist look - clear Windvest. If you go this way, I recommend getting the tallest one:
