It's been snowing, salt on the road, it rains and washes everything away, gets me psyched for a ride, then it snows again. Now it's in the teens, and snow again. I wish my job sucked so I could consider a move to somewhere winter-less. Sorry, I felt the need to rant.
P.S. I hate all of you who live in snow-free areas.
So cold here on the west side of the mitten the road crews are putting down sand cause the salt won't work when it's this cold. Last we had a green yard, now there is a foot of snow on the ground, the icicles on my car are frozen to the ground and dogs are freezing to the fire hydrants.
My sincere and deepest sympathies to those who are winter bound, unable to safely/comfortably ride every day. The record high in Tucson for today was 86... and we hit 87. The next 10+ days hold no precipitation in the forecast with highs continuing to be in the mid 80"s.
I took the SG out for a short run just to warm it up and then did an oil/filter change. Followed that with a nice, albeit short ride. Have ridden each of the last three days (for a total of about 300 miles), a typical week this time of year is four or five rides but then it is hard to let the bike sit when it is so damned nice out. Being retired helps a lot.
So feel free to hate me but know that I ride just for you, seriously. After all, wouldn't it **** you off more if I could but didn't? Spring is coming and yes following that our (and your), hot summers won't be far behind.
