So i bought the light in the link below for my 13 Street Bob. My problem is I can't get the brake light to work properly. I have a good running light good blinkers but the brake light shines to bright. Has any one used this set up, if so how did you install it.
I played around with the wires for a bit moving the red and white wires to the blue and purple on the bike. When i did that i got a good break light but then the blinkers go crazy. One would function correctly and one would kick on the hazards. Iv'e tried single resistors, single diodes together and apart and a diode kit nothing working.

Have a look in the service manual and see which conductor is the positive brake light wire and try tapping off that and going to ground with the neg lead of the LED. Without knowing more detail of the Alibaba sourced strip I can't offer much more.
Do you have a wiring diagram for the strip? If we know what wire is supposed to do what function we might be able to help a little more. Also, do you have the wiring diagram for the bike side? I haven't worked with the new models setup, but I still might be able to help some.
The brake light is suppose to be brighter than blinkers or running lights by design. I'm not sure what your issue is.
My thought exactly. I'm going to great lengths to ensure my signal lights are very bright. I'd be perfectly happy if the people following me got retina damage from my brake light.
