driving me nuts -howling sound
Just got ownership of a 2014 DL.
There was a really loud howling sound when I would let throttle off in any gear.
Brought it into the dealership, after a day of belt adjustment, I collected the bike.
First gear, bike sounds fine.
Second gear and up, once I roll my throttle off, the howling sound starts again.
No sound in neutral.
GAHHHHHHH!
Just needed to release my frustration. Gonna take it in whenever the next slot at service is ready.

There is allot of tension in the primary and the gear box with the stock self adjusting primary unit.
There are better options. Easy fix.
Bike will shift easier and your gear box will last longer.

My bagger I had, the crank was out of tolerance it made a howling sound. Couldn't pin point where it came from, i was listening to both sides of the bike while riding it. The sound came from both side of the bike.
