That oughta work...stainless? Don't say galvanized, because it does have somewhat that appearance
Very perceptive, as usual. Yeah, stainless. .050", painted black. I only rendered it in galvalized because it contrasted nicely. All my built-in stainless finishes were too reflective to get a good sense of the shapes.
What is the centre diameter of the bars, could you flush mount the guage to the bar (I realise this means cutting into and reinforcing new bars)
The bars are 1.5" OD. Not sure of the wall, but probably around .120".
It would be possible, but I would have to ditch the indicators and it would use up most of the internal space I need for wiring. I'm bored so maybe I'll model it just for ***** and giggles.
Two variations. I like the recessed version a lot, but doing it chews up most of my bar internal space and would be a lot of work. Custom mounting bung, lots of very careful measuring and cutting, TIG welding, grinding, finishing.... Not this year.
Hi Chris,
That is the cleanest thing I have ever seen on this or any other planet. That image will haunt you any time you start to mount the "Gadget" in any way other than that.
