Yeah, the models are pretty rough. Good enough to get good bracket prints and visualize the results. The bolts and screws are stock files from Content Center and I couldnt find the correct 12pt flange heads so I just dumped in whatever flanges were in there. Good enough for my purposes.
Thanks! Can't wait for this death rattle of Winter to pass so I can get out into the shop and start getting to business. I don't want to buy fuel and dig out the salamander for just a week or two of heat.
First on the list is to get my HF lift modified and get my kid's bike put in boxes and moved outta my way. Damn kids.
Finally pulled the trigger on some proper tool holders and indexable cutting tools for the lathe
. Tired of fighting with the flexy 1/4 tools for the stock holder and knew with the hub modification coming that I didn't want to eff it up with sketchy tools. 1/2 carbide inserts with proper cutting angles, reliefs, and chip breakers will help. Much easier to set up, too. I'm gonna miss having access to the big tools at work, tho.

Yup. I'm giving some thought to a custom rear axle, too. I want a flush axle and can't find a commercial offering I like. We'll see what the summer brings. It's low priority and I need to spend some time working out the details. It's beginning to solidify in my head, tho.
