Just got this new Corbin saddle and I LOVE IT!! I had a Mustang on my VTX, and a C&C on my Road King, and I've seen but never sat on LaPeras, and this is the nicest of them all. Built as well as the Mustang, as stylish as the C&C, and for me comfy. Beware if you are considering one, they are hard, but I was used to it in about five minutes. I've heard that they break in nicely, and because the padding is so firm they hold their shape and never get any dents from your *** sinking into them. A note about the red welts, in some of these pics they don't look like they match, but when some sun hits the stripes on the tank it's really close. The problem is the stripes painted on the tank and clearcoated look different under different types and levels of light, while the vinyl welt on the seat always looks the same.
The seat really looks great! I've had a Corbin on my Triumph Speed Triple for years, and it has broken in nicely. Just as you said, it has stayed firm, kept it's contour, and resisted dents.
More importantly, what's happening between Santa and that scarecrow in picture #3?
Congrats on your new saddle! You are going to love it more and more as time goes on. Funny you mention Mustang because he got his start with Mike Corbin. Worked there for awhile before starting up his own company.
They do break in nicely. Give it about 1000-1500 miles.

Ha! That didn't take long. I wasn't sure about that pic. I posted it to show how close the colors are under the right light (I used a flash in that one), but otherwise it's a bad picture (a crowded garage, junk everywhere). But once I saw those two getting it on back there the decision was made.
