Default Need some help selecting a new set of apes!

My bike was purchased with this setup from the PO. It is very comfortable and does not move! I just am not crazy about this look and would like to install a set of fat apes 1.25 inch? yet have about the same overall height and width plus be able to use my current controls and top bar clamp. Want to get rid of the tall riser and go with a more standard ape. I'm just not sure how to go about selecting the proper riser and bars to get the desired dimensions. I believe the current bars are just standard Harley 10-12 in apes. Also not doing any internal wiring with this swap. From the top of the triple clamp to the top of the bars is approx 15.5-16 inches. From grip end to grip end is 33-34 inches. An addition inch or so in height won't matter much if thats how I have to go. Just trying to stay about shoulder height. Does a 14 inch bar and 2 inch riser put me about where I want to be?

Check out Wild 1's web page in the link provided. About half way down the page you'll find where they show how to measure your bars from the trees up for raise and how to determine pull back, grip angle and tip width. Find some 1"-1.5" risers and subtract that from your overall height currently on the bike and that will give you an idea of how tall the bars need to be, then start shopping. You can prob go an inch or so taller, if needed, if you have the slack in the cables and wire harness.

Thanks!!!! Plenty of slack in all the cables and wires. PO had replaced all that and they are all a little too long currently. Actually looking at a set of Wild One apes so I'll go to their website as you suggested. Good info!
