heres the deal, i bought all the stuff for a set of 17 inch ape hangers, wire harness and all the cables, but now i dont have the time to tear it all apart. so scratch that idea, i wanna know what i can do with whats on the bike now, only problem i have is with the 1 inch bars, i like the 1 1/4 inch bars. so, i would like to go maybe an inch or two taller just because. i think stock on my street bob is 10.25 maybe or somethign like that. im not looking to splice wires, internally wire or anything different, i just wanna take off the controls and bolt them to a new set of bars and bolt the bars on. im just in a crunch and leaving for school friday, and dont wanna have those bars and not like them while im away from home, because that will be my only transportation, the ole scoot. so could i stretch a set of 12 inch, 1 1/4 bars on there and keep everythign else like it stands?? and ill prob sell the bars and cables that i have now if anyones interested.
I kept my stock bars and put a set of 4" risers on my 05 FXDWG all I had to do was bend the front brake line a little straighter by the triple tree bracket it is bolted to.So I ended up with about a 16" rise, just right for me. Hope this helps
sure can...most 1 1/4" are internally wired . You should have enough slack to internally wire 12" bars. if you do not have built in risers , I would just get 2" taller risers... to me that looks cooler than just a bigger ape.

Back on topic though, what year bike do you have Jordan?
If it's an 06/07 I would go with some taller risers, easiest and most cost effective way to do it.
08 or better and you'll have to switch bars which +mo' money.
And if I'm not mistaken the 08's and up are internally wired already correct?
