Matte Finish
I have a 2012 FXDWG in vivid black. The paint is still pristine i bought i with 5 miles on it and have taken really good care of it, i have an itch to redo the bike in a matte finish, maybe even an old olive drab green think WW2 jeeps.
Anyway, just curious if anyone has any experience with matte finishes, if so:
A) Whats the paint care like for a matte finish?
B) I have read it can be easily chipped etc and if that happens its hard to match the paint so can get costly because most cases would have to be completely repainted
C)outside the paint would it make more sense to do a Vinyl Wrap? ie. more cost effective, and would still retain the vivid black with flames it has now.

Your bike is mint condition. Painting is so 1990's. Wrap the bike with vinyl. Durable and u can choose any color. All high end cars now get wrapped instead of repainted. Can be easily done on our tank and 2 fenders.
+1 on getting the wrap done. I had my whole car done when it came with factory matte grey paint ('13 Veloster).
