Bought my 04 last year and the PO had the fender swapped to the Wide Glide style, and kept the original. I made the decision to buy knowing I'd have the option to swap back. I thought the Bobtail fender would grow on me and it did, my nerves. Hated it. Ran into one issue, the strut spacers were to long so I took em to work, trimmed em down and touched em up with a lil flat black.

New battery cover will be in tomorrow. Just ordered new 12" bars and a few goodies to along with it.
I think the bobtail fender looks good on the right bike, the wide glide and the softail standards have that raked front giving it a long sleek look. It may have looked a little better chopped and lowered but I couldn't sacrifice the ride quality for that.
