Short ride without a muffler???
I'm about to change out the stock muffler on a 2012 Switchback with a Vance & Hines slip-on in hopes of eliminating the annoying vibration. I just removed the stock muffler and want to run the bike through the neighborhood to see if the vibration is gone with nothing on. If it's not, there's no sense in even opening up the new slip-on. Will this have any negative effects on the bike?

Well, it absolutely ran like garbage, but the good news is that the vibrations were nowhere to be found. Will be moving forward with the Vance & Hines. Of course, all of this is so I can sell it later this week. I didn't feel right about passing along a vibrating turd to someone else like it was passed on to me.
