V&H Short Shots
I tossed the idea around for about 2 months trying to make the most informed desicion I could before plunking down the dough. I want to extend a big thanks to all the great people on here that have helped me along my Harley learning curve and made me a more knowledgeable owner.
The whole deal took me about 2.5 hours and 6.5 beers. I bought them off my indy guy around the corner and he was priced right alongside Eastern Performance, who he reffered to as a bunch of vipers screwing it up for the rest of the dealers.

I read all the arguments about howthe BSS were better for horsies and so on but I was looking more for eye candy and good sound rather than a few more HP.
I got what I wanted. I took her out for a spin and she sounded awesome! Still gettting some popping on decel but not nearly as much as my slip-ons were giving me. Noticed that the bike lugged alot less in low speed conditoions also, figuring the added back pressure from the baffles was helping me out.
I'll be getting a Ness Big Sucker and a Thundermax in a few more weeks when the funds fall into place. The dyno run should be cool and I'll post results when I get it done.
For now here are a few before and afters. Sorry about the lighting in the afters, didn't finish up till 9 pm tonight.

I really like the looks of the BSS also, but I wanted to do something a little different and I think I acheived my goal.
Called my buddy up on the test ride and told him I was gonna " buzz the tower". He gave a nice thumbs up when I stopped backso he could get a look see.[sm=smiley16.gif]
My indy guy is gonna halve the baffles after he maps it and runs the dyno.
Looks like I'm gonna stay away from the tourist traps now.................

I just installed my new Cycle Shack slip-ons and theysound greatand not much of a baffle,(you can see through them pretty much). Strange thing is I have no popping at all on decell. The production date on the vin decal is March 07. I'm thinking H-D is using a new map for the ECU now.
