Did you say at around 80ish MPH! OMG! You need to slow down!!! LOL. I'm just kidding. That's about the speed I experienced it too. In long sweeper style turns.

There is a LOT of information (and opinions) on the so called "death wobble". It is quite freaky when it happens. I've changed a bunch of things on my bike that affect handling (front fork inserts, shocks, Tru-Track etc.) so I can't say which one fixed it. I'm not trying to start a big effing discussion in this thread about it, but I know the stabilizers, either front isolator/motor mount, Tru-track, Sputhe etc. make a difference. IF after doing all the suggestions mentioned earlier in this thread, you "may" want to give one of them a try.

Ride Safe (and Thanks for Your Service).

"Fall away" is Harley's adjustment for setting the neck bearings a little too tight, to act as a crude steering dampener.

Do you remember if this wobble ever happened before you put on the fairing?
I had a fairing on my bike and I don't know if the alignment was off or what but the wind could catch it and the bars would start to wobble at high speeds.
Also, you could put a steering stabilizer on your bike, as it really helps keep my bike tracking smooth at high speeds and thru sweepers.
Also, underinflated tires, especially rear, has caused the wobble for me.

I waited to get a set of tires, shocks and True track all at the same time, set it all up and the wobbles are gone. If you add a true track alone to a bike that has worn tires, most likely it isn't gonna solve your problem completely. the tires may be worn in a way to make your bike to continue to wobble, even after adding the true track.

Did the bike wobble in stock configuration?

I had the same problem. Couldn't figure it out. Took it to the dealer and it was the neck bearing adjust that was out.

No, fall away is to correctly set the bearing preload so they can handle the forces the bike experiences without failing prematurely. It's done throughout the industry.

OP, check neck fall away, spoke tension (if you have wire wheels), rear wheel alignment, tire wear, and consider a tru-trak type stabilizer.

No, it's not done to keep them from failing prematurely. Have you ever replaced wheel bearings on a trailer? They are set up with clearance/lash, and are subjected to much harsher use than our headstock bearings. Nor are bearings in general set up with preload very often. Zero or negative clearance interferes with maintaining a lubricant film.

I got first wobble at 100mph in turn, was scary as ****.
than started getting wobble 75+ straight
long story short - changed front mount to predator, it went away. Tightened stearing bearing (said f-u to procedure and went by feeling) also.
First of all check if front motor mount is torqued to spec and in good condition. Replacing w/ Predator or BBC is good idea - look for threads here
