I don't believe putting the quiet mode on for a mile or two will affect anything. They had to test theslip onson FI bikes because they are for many 06 and 07 Harleys which are all fuel injected. Iused to swap my stock slip ons and SEII's all the time with no ill effects.
I just want to hear a pair in real life. Would love to be able to maker 'er quiet when I roll in at night.

I've heard a set - 211Chuck from the forums here has some.
We went on a cruise through some of the NC mountains and small townships in there and the pipes were like night and day.
We'de get to a small town and he'd toggle them to quiet mode. They sounded a little more aggressive than stock but not an abrasive sound, just a purr. Couldn't hear them above my V&H Straightshots unless we were side by side. When we'd break out of the town he'd toggle them back to loud mode. They weren't terribly loud, but had a nice rumble to them equivalent or maybe just a bit louders than a set of SE2s. They sounded nice blending with my pipes.
Send him a message, I'm sure he'd tell you about them. Said it didn't affect his performance negatively at all.
