I tried to install my tank lift and I ran into a problem, the clip which holds a tube like hose that runs into a L-shaped rubber piece that goes into the tank was not long enough, is this a problem anybody ran into or am I the firstclown who can't do a simple job like this?
I got the tank lift from chopper style and it came with two additional hoses I guess these could be one of them, but the thing is I have heard that when you do a 2" lift you don't need to change anything exept the bolts.
I think you're talking about the vent line. Comes down the left side of the frame in front of the tank then turns and goes under the tank towards the rear of the bike. Has a little maybe half inch canister looking thing in line in front of the tank, which is zip tied to the frame.
If this is what you're talking about, you can either put a longer piece of vent tube from the little canister to the tank, or you can just cut the zip tie so that it can move up a little with the tank, and just leave it. It wont go anywhere.
Think you're talking about the vent hose that goes up under the console. I had to buy a longer piece of hose when I did mine. Best I can remember the hose is clipped to the frame and you can leave the clip loose to gain a little length but it may not be enough.
Yeah I had that problem ....it's a 7/32 line that goes in the tank area with a check valve looking part on it I just went to my local part store and got more line.... Easy fix....
