Ok 06dynablack......
That's what I should do. As it is I have the alarm button and a house key on mine, so that makes it a mess. You sure did an exceptional job on the switch relocation. Very professional looking............pg

i use just the key alone.

having a bunch of keys on ring asking for problems with the switch

just from the weight alone dangling
Keep it simple.

It was pretty simple really. The top piece is .062 steel and the 1/2 round is a piece of exhaust pipe. They are welded together on the back side and then powder coated. I made 6, 5 powder coat and 1 chrome plated. They are all on bikes running around town here. They work just as well on sportsters too.

13A and Diablo, thanx for the compliment.

The HD key is set into a resin that I cast into a mold of my thumb.

The key shown above is a oneoff piece that I produced for grins,
and it rides along when I ride.

Normally, I cast the thumbs with a keyring attached.
These are my business cards. Name is cut into thumbnail,
occupation and phone number on the other side.

I make them in all colors, everybody likes my bCards.

I dont mind so much where the key is as much as the fact that the key has to be in to run the bike. I like the harley setup with the chrome **** and key lock in the center.
Anyone know if that type of cylinder can be put in the place of the orignal key.

Wow. What a solution. How was the wiring solved? Did the new switch have a harness or did you just cut and solder?
