Default Need Some Carb Help!!

So last week I pulled the carb out of my 2005 FXDC to clean and inspect it and now i've lost the ability to idle without the choke being pulled out. (at least 25%-30% of the way out or more)
I've only owned it for 2 months and I didn't know for sure if it had been re-jetted or molested so I wanted to look into that too. Once I got into it, I found that it has the Stock Needle, and the jets are stamped 45 and 190.
I read some Joe Minton CV carb tuning threads and it sounds like the stock jets are well sufficient for what I'm running. (My bike has 15K on in and came with SE II Slip on's with baffles. The A/C is stock but I have a Ness Big Sucker on the way) So, I put it all back together after a good cleaning and thorough inspection. I also drilled out the idle screw plug so that could be adjusted. I turned it in all the way and backed it out 2 & 1/4 turns to start with.
I put fresh 93 in it today and, with the choke pulled, it fired right up. But as soon as I pushed it in, the bike died. I've let the bike warm up for 15+ minutes. I adjusted the idle screw all the way in and all the way out and everything in between. And, I checked the one vacuum line one the back of the carb.
At this point I'm lost. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Maybe I missed something while I was putting it back together. I did use the Service Manual so I assume its correct. I might run by the dealer and get the rebuild kit they have in stock and see if they also have the sportster needle I've read about.

Assuming the carb was reassembled correctly, I'd look at the manifold donut first. Mine has a tendency to roll in and leak if I don't pay attention. Some o-ring lube or silicone grease helps.

Idle mixture, Idle speed are correct?

+1 on checking the manifold seal. May want to take the cap of the carb and see if you didn't pinch a hole in the slide diaphragm.

Thank you for the responses. I started pulling off the stock AC to check the seal and the damn Carb literally fell off the manifold. So that was clearly the issue. Once I got that back together, I fired it up, let it get warm and she idles perfectly now.

Good deal you found it.
I've had to replace that carb/intake seal ring before. After they've been on for a while they get compressed and can cause an intake leak.

Okay "...Cage". I'm looking at a 02 Low Rider with an after market air cleaner, after market mufflers, can I presume you had some one mod your carb? Or did you buy it like that?
