Here is my problem, I can't seem to get the carb adjusted correctly. It has an idle problem, popping and shooting flames out of the exhaust and carb and carbon coats the plugs after 15 minutes.
It won't idle unless the idle adjustment is almost screwed all the way down.
Tried to adjust the idle mixture and enrichment device and they don't seem to do anything in either direction, and the accelerator pump adjustment screw doesn't seem to do anything either.
Also, the throttle is acting weird, I use it to speed up, but letting go and it doesn't decelerate. The cables aren't sticking because they work when parked and the first two gears, but 3-5 it's a different animal.
It is a Super E Carb, moved from guflport area (sea level) to mountains. Elevation is 3500', ran fine then but now it is jacked. Had a shop look at it and even they are stumped, because we tried the jet change out too. Any ideas???
plugs say way rich, but your altitude relocate should have gone lean, sounds like I would pull the carb and rebuild it, at minimum make sure the float is not sticking and seating properly and keeping the right level.

Moving from sea level to 3500 feet altitude would make the carb mixture rich, the jets stayed the same but the air is thinner...
Agree with the float sticking, or possibly crud in the carburetor.

Maybe you choke is worn where it sets in the carb. If you use the choke often, or if someone owned it before you used it often it may be worn and allowing fuel by even when in closed position.
