After searching around for information and not really getting what I was hoping for, I'm asking here. Forgive me if it's known or in the wrong area but I figured this is a very knowledgeable and active subforum.
I have an 06 Dyna with close to 70,000 miles on it and a few years ago some of the lights on the odometer either went out or went dim. Everything still works on the speedo, but it's hard to read. The lights, along with a wrinkled display window on the odometer, make it so I can't really read it during the day. I found a 2011 speedometer locally for a good price but have a couple questions.
Will the 2011 speedometer plug into and work on my 2006?
How do I get the mileage from my ecu to overwrite the miles from the 2011 speedometer?
