Removing Baffles V/H Short Shots
What are the potential pros and cons of removing the baffles from my 09 Fat Bob Short Shots ?
Does it make the bike louder? More choppy performance? Fuel implications?

Hey thank for the quick reply. I already have decel popping. I admit I got the short shots in a hurry. I do want loud pipes, but I don't want the decreased performance. The bike seems like it is lugging a little. Yesterday first gear was vibrating like crazy. Not sure why.

dk customs thunder torque inserts are supposed to help the short shots quite a bit. I have a set sitting on my table about to be installed on mine. We will see how much better they are sunday

Shodown, what do the inserts do ? Are they added with the baffles inside ? I am looking at the page, how do I know which ones to get ? Thanks.

I took the baffles out on mine, sounds like absolute crap, put thunder torque inserts in sounded better, put the baffles back in along with the tti and I like that much more! It is my opinion that you can never get 100% of the decel pop to go away on these short little pipes, but without baffles I don't know if you could get rid of any.
