Hi folks! Brand new to the Harley world just got a 2014 Denim Black Street Bob. I have some mods in mind and one in particular is a license plate relocate and tail signals. I bought the Arlen Ness rear signals thinking they would act as brake lights but unfortunately they don't. Anyone have any experience with this style of bracket? http://www.ebay.ca/itm/SIDE-MOUNT-LI...xWRs53&vxp=mtr
It's the style I'm looking for but I'm afraid the part that mounts to my axle will be too wide and I won't be able to get my axle nut threaded back on. It says it "Mounts in place of outer axle spacer". Can someone refer to me what spacer it is?
Looks like just what I'm looking for, but unfortunately it gets pricey for me with the exchange rate and having it shipped up to NL, Canada. I'm going to keep searching for something cheaper but if I have no luck I might have to go with this one.
Can anyone tell me if it's more beneficial to install it on the shock or the axle? Thanks!
I actually have this one on my bike. Mounts to the axle and works quite well. Used it to replace the home-made one that was on the bike when I bought it (the bracket was cracking almost completely through).

That looks great! Did you have lots of room to spare when putting the axle nut back on? Did you still keep the washer on behind the axle nut? Also when wiring there's only 2 wires. I take it there's no ground wire?? Thanks for the help!

Plenty of space as the bracket is heavy duty, but quite thin. All I did was take the washer and nut off (had to do that to remove the old, broken, license/light mount), then simply slide the new bracket over the axle and replace the washer and nut.
Also, there is actually three wires (hard to see in the ebay pics), so you have ground, run, brake.
The nice thing with this particular setup is that you can adjust the mount to run the plate vertical or horizontal. Also, don't forget to use Loctitie on all the bolts for the bracket so it doesn't vibrate apart (don't ask how I know). Another thing I did was to flare the holes for the bracket where the light and axle mounts attach so that the bolt head would fit flusher, allowing the license place to sit better on the bracket.
