500 for a seat sounds steep. I just ordered my solo for approx 350ish with gel. With passenger pillon it came to about 650ish. Can't complain considering I upgraded to a gel insert. Would of been less than $500 for the set easily if I stuck with the standard foam.
Yup, I was looking at the Weekday XL, that comes in at $432, forget about adding gel or any stitching. I ended up with the C&C Sport Tour with leather, top that off with an HD Forums 10% discount, add shipping and its less then $100 for the DG base model.

I love the looks of the C&C seats. I am wondering about the comfort for the passenger. I would love a seat that looks good AND that my wife will love for her butt.
UPDATE: I have given up on C&C , not much help and no return what so ever on a custom seat. I bought a LePera Daytona Sport, but that sat me too far back. I have just received a Mustang Tripper Forward w/backrest off Ebay and I couldn't be happier. Puts me right where I want to be and a lot of adjustments with the backrest.
good looking seat. I have the Tripper solo, I like it for a different look.

Two questions:
1- Does that backrest have some type of offset which puts the pad further back?
2- Is it an illusion or is the seat rather narrow?
You could find you a take off stock low rider seat. It has the extra pad to push you forward. I'm 5'8 and don't use the extra pad. That should work nicely for you. Just a suggestion.
