Looking to buy a fastback style seat but having a problem pulling the trigger due to the posts I have been reading. I am 5'7" 150 lbs. and need a seat that will leave me in the stock position or even a little closer to the controls. Everything I have read seems to suggest any fastback seat will raise me and set me back 2 inches. Any riders my size will good results with a fastback ?
I don't mind spending $600 w/backrest but I want the seat to fit me.
Thank in advance for any input.

I just received my seat from Ed at Sick Saddles. The guy can customize everything for ya. I had him make me a 2-up and I'm also 5'7" so I asked for the seat to actually move me forward a bit. Turned out great!
You're better off looking into C&C seats. They'll shape it anyway you want. Sick Saddles from what I've heard does nice work but customer service isn't the greatest, I wasn't impressed after exchanging a few emails. C&C Seats is the way to go.
I have talked to the big 3 , Mustang, LePera and C&C on the phone. C&C sent pictures with some measurements on them but it seems as if what they say doesn't always match what I read on the forums. Would rather hear first hand reviews. And what really bugs me are the reviews on J&P and Revzilla where people write " very comfy" or "good looking seat" , those reviews are not helping anyone. Not to mention the **** poor return policy on seats.
Call C&C up on the phone. You're better to talk to someone then exchange emails. Tell them exactly what you're looking for. There's way to many positive reviews on C&C not to give them a try.

I looked into the Danny Gray seat, I told him what I was looking for in a seat and they wanted to charge me over $500 for it. Not to mention some ridiculous amount to ship it. I don't doubt the quality and workmanship of a Gray but I'm sure you can't beat the quality and workmanship of a C&C for the price.
I just got off the phone with Chuck at C&C and he agrees that their stock fastback/backrest will probably not work well for me but he doesn't sound so sure on what to do. I sent him some pics of my solo seat with a wood ruler laid on it , maybe we can come up with something.
