Default Ignition wires

Looking to replace stock ignition wires on my '06 Dyna Super Glide with some aftermarket bling. Any suggestions ?

What are you trying to accomplish with aftermarket wires?

I put on simple Screaming Eagle ones. Actually inexpensive and large diameter wires. Don't think they made a difference though besides a way to spend a few Harley bucks I had.

I tried the Accels. Threw a code. 2 sets. Ended up with the orange SE wires.

Have always replaced the stock ones with the SE ones. Adds a little bling.

it doesn't hurt to replace them every so often as over time the insulation can brake down and cause a misfire, would think any that are within the correct ohm's per foot should be ok.

I have had the same plug wires on my bike for 10 years and 70,000 miles. I thought the resistance was probably higher than they were new so I bought some Screamin' eagle wires to find out. the new plug wire for the #1 cylinder is 5310 ohms for 19 inches. the old 10 year old plug wire is 5600 ohms for 18 inches. not that much of a difference and I don't see any cracking or damage. I'll keep the Screamin' Eagle wires, I think, just because the other ones are 10 years old.

Went with the SE orange; they match the paint on the tank

Does the '06 have ion sensing? If not, you can run pretty much any wire you like.
