They're made to be cheap and cushy, many better handling and riding shocks out there. I ran Progressive 430's for 200mi, and the dampening was better than the stock shocks by a long shot, but thats where the good things about those shocks ran out.

I'll be swapping to 12.6" Hagon Nitro's pretty soon.
I was looking at those Hagons. Any input on how that model should be for the occasional 2 up rides with momma?

Definitely considering the Progressive 444's 12.5" for my Dyna .. The OEM Stockers just not cutting it, plus the fact they are 11 years old at least ..

Before my Fat Bob I had a 2006 XL1200R. I put Progressive 430s (13") on the rear and Progressive fork springs (standard length) along with a Screaming Eagle fork brace on the front.

The improvement in the ride was incredible. In addition to Metzeler tires that bike handled like nobody's business. It truly was easy to have fun in the twisties in addition to just being damn comfortable compared to the stock shocks. In my almost 48 years of riding I don't believe I've run stock shocks on anything I've owned when I wanted to make an improvement to the ride.

I'm anticipating a big comfort change in the FXDF when I get the 444s on it.

I weigh 182, ride solo. His suggestion was the extra half inch over stock length will give a more pleasant response from the irregularities our Colorado roads are known for lol.
My two cents, great product, easy hand adjusting when going two up, have been real smooth thus far!

Super shox, powder coat springs..= 😁
