i am putting apes on my 08 fat bob, i ordered a line kit from burly, turns out the cables i got are for a street bob (single front disk) while mine is dual front. the cable will still work, if i am able to somehow connect the burly front brake line to the junction box that sits under my triple tree. does anyone know the thread size of the stock brake lines going into that box? or have any other ideas as to how to make this work? if i can find a banjo bolt and t-box to replace the stock one maybe that could work?
Those look like mine, unfortunately that whole thing is brazed together, at least mine were. You are not going to get the new line attached to the old, you are going to have to return the street bob lower and get the correct bottom line.
hhmm... mine dont look like they are brazed together. ill check them out when i get home. i was thinking of stopping by an auto parts store and picking up a universal fit junction box and banjo bolt... i have seen extended lower line kits for the fat bob but those are anywhere from 50 to 75 bucks... id like to avoid that if i can make it work for less than 20.
oh and from what i understand, burly does not make an extended line kit for fat bobs. thats why im in this predicament.
