FXDX Instrument Console Trim

I'm looking to replace the broken trim on my FXDXT, is there a part number to search for, or can it be found by length and cut to size?

Here is a picture of mine.

I bet there are some alternatives for the actual PN- you can find an whole console (minus gauges)on eBay for almost the cost of the edging...

Mine is an '01. My Dad has a '99 Sportster with a very similar colour.

Have you tried door edge trim from the auto parts store. It's not very expensive and comes in 30" or so lengths. It has glue inside the cut part. You would have to carefully mold or wrap it around the curved sections of the trim piece.

I used this: ebay link to trim the edges of my custom console. It's available in many sizes and shapes if the one I linked isn't quite right.

I tried to purchase the same piece for my 2000 FXDX, and my dealer told me that it's now an obsolete part number. Maybe you can luck out and find a dealer with some NOS inventory, but it may take a lot of hunting, unfortunately. If you search for "Dash Rubber" or "Dash Trim" with most of the big online retailers, you can find universal trim like this:
