I'd roll with it brother, 3/16 is tons of space, probably twice the amount I have in my current set up. You could shim it out further if you really feel compelled, but as long as you have tire clearance which you already verified you have.

I just posted this same review in a different thread.
So I have gone all summer with the 30/70 swap. Short rides, long rides, town, interstate. Here is my review. Gears... A lot closer now. I love it! Performance.. It is a crazy seat of your pants difference. My bike screams now. I found out I am faster with my 96 inch with pulley swat than a 107 twin cam dyna. Faster than a 110 twin cam street glide. Faster than a 107 M8 street glide. Faster than a 114 M8 with cams Road King. I am so shocked and so is everybody else what my wide glide can do. Zero engine mods. Just tuner pipes and air cleaner. No baffles in my 2 into 2 pipes and only the power commander V not running my wide band O2 censors. So there is a lot more potential. As far as highway speeds... I'm only a couple hundred RPMs more than stock. Not bad at all. 4500 RPMs in 6th gear at 122mph. I will definitely be sticking with this mod! I do burn my tire when I take off fast though. Oh well. lol. One bad thing I learned is when it is raining, do not take off fast especially in first gear. The back tire will not hook up. But wow. I can not say anything bad about this mod.
last post on here a yr ago..i want to change the primary drive sprocket to a 30tooth...does anyone have a link or experience with doing this..the softtail kits ive seen say they dont fit the breakout
i just wanna lower the gearing and this seems like the eaiest way...not doing the rear pulley....
just the compensator sprocket whether it be an eliminator or a 30 tooth using the compensator...
It's the best most noticeable mod that I've done. I've done cams, air filter, and pipes but this had me laughing I could really feel a huge difference especially in the city, never finding the right gear for the right level of rpm's I was either lugging or under-geared. But now it's perfect.
Only swapped out the front pulley from 32 to 30. My bike is an HD5 international bike that came with an insane 64T rear pulley!!! You can imagine how easy it was to lug the engine even trying to get it smooth on the highway, had to drop it into 5th to smooth out the revs.
My Pulley is shot.....belt is nearly as bad...soooooo
****Re-posted this into the more appropriate thread***
Sorry.....Newbie mistake....
New to the forum, but I am finding all kinds of great information. I will briefly list what I do know on my bike. I purchased my 07 FLSTFI a year ago with 3429 miles on it.
As described in sale....2007 Fatboy with SE 110 upgrade, my assumption is that it also has the 255 cams. Also SE 2 into 2 exhaust and upgraded hi flow intake. Described
to have PM wheels and brakes front and rear. After roughly a year of riding and now at 20,000 miles, my pulley is shot and belt is nearly done too. Upon further research,
it seems as though the pulley is not PM as assumed. The wheel and pulley info cannot be verified thru dealer for some reason. When rubber was last changed I forgot to have
them verify wheel P/N with the tires off........So now that I need new rear pulley, the 30/70 swap sounds to good to pass up. I am running HD 133 belt and with the 200 on the rear,
I plan to stay with that belt size.
Question 1.... Are aftermarket pulleys prone to short lives as a HD mechanic has mentioned to me, and the OEM pulleys are far superior in longevity?
Question 2.... What OEM pulley is best suited for the 07 Fatty in regards to the 70T
I would like to find a pulley that compliments the wheels, but not break the bank. Attached is pic of pulley and wear. Think it might be a Ness Pulley? Wear on pulley What brand is this pulley, or something close? Could it be a Ness? Looking to change to a 70T that will compliment the wheels.
