Sorry.....Newbie mistake....
New to the forum, but I am finding all kinds of great information. I will briefly list what I do know on my bike. I purchased my 07 FLSTFI a year ago with 3429 miles on it.
As described in sale....2007 Fatboy with SE 110 upgrade, my assumption is that it also has the 255 cams. Also SE 2 into 2 exhaust and upgraded hi flow intake. Described
to have PM wheels and brakes front and rear. After roughly a year of riding and now at 20,000 miles, my pulley is shot and belt is nearly done too. Upon further research,
it seems as though the pulley is not PM as assumed. The wheel and pulley info cannot be verified thru dealer for some reason. When rubber was last changed I forgot to have
them verify wheel P/N with the tires off........So now that I need new rear pulley, the 30/70 swap sounds to good to pass up. I am running HD 133 belt and with the 200 on the rear,
I plan to stay with that belt size.
Question 1.... Are aftermarket pulleys prone to short lives as a HD mechanic has mentioned to me, and the OEM pulleys are far superior in longevity?
Question 2.... What OEM pulley is best suited for the 07 Fatty in regards to the 70T
I would like to find a pulley that compliments the wheels, but not break the bank. Attached is pic of pulley and wear. Think it might be a Ness Pulley? Wear on pulley What brand is this pulley, or something close? Could it be a Ness? Looking to change to a 70T that will compliment the wheels.
What's wrong with the pulley? How's the belt?
Who's wheels?
