Has anyone had problems with the '06 "bobster" going into gear on its own when sitting in neutral idling ? A friend of mine told me some people had this happen . Any thoughts or answers ?
There was an issue with the dynas that had a recall done on them in 06. If your bike was built after a certain date, I believe it was september or so then it was done at the factory. You can check by contacting HD and give them your vin number. I think you can do it on their website as well.
The early ones had a recall because of this. Information was a little bit contradictory. Some said it was merely a false neutral issue where the neutral light was on, but the bike was in gear (heck my Honda did that ALL THE TIME, my Dad's new Victory does it and his Yamaha FJR1300 did it as well). But there were reports of bikes jumping into gear.
Regardless, they did a recall on these early 2006 production bikes and they fixed it. I never had a problem with it, but of course I did eventually get the recall work done. Later 06's were fixed in production. So just have a dealer check your VIN number to confirm that your bike already had the recall work done or never needed it.

I guess I should reload a page before posting.I was alittlelate on this one.
