i added a barnett heavy duty diaphragm spring last night, and mine seems to get into neutral a little easier now

Red Line Primary Oil will make it almost like BUTTAH.

Huh... in the primary I've had the best results with Valvoline VR1 SAE 50 and Mobil 1 Racing 4T synthetic

Yep, I have a few buddies that run that VR1 50 and the 60, and rave about it.

Mine came with the 20w50 HD syn in it, and every once in a while, it would skip neutral.

I put the Amsoil VTwin Primary sauce in the primary, and the Amsoil Severe Gear 75w110 in the trans, and it hasn't missed it since

Install a Hayden M6 Primary chain tensioner and your shifting and finding neutral will be nice and smooth.

Try this~
As you slow to a stop, say about walking speed, try shifting into neutral. See if that is easier. Tin cup is right, your clutch plates are dragging too much. You can change fluids all you want, but the best "fix" is to get familiar with your clutch adjustments.

Hello guys, permission to cut in.

I have a 195 Dyna Superglide Sport and I have noticed that it is next to impossible to downshift from 2nd into Neutral, the 'box simply clicks into 1st gear.

When in 1st gear, I can find Neutral easily enough but on a cold engine (early in the morning) she will shift 1st-N and then N-2nd.
All other gears are OK.

This got me thinking that perhaps the shift lever linkage is adjusted too close to "downshift" and a little too far away from "upshift".

How much should I readjust... 1/16th inch ? 1/8th ? How many flats of the adjusting nut ?
