Can someone give me advise on how to use the auto tune on my power vision for my 2014 lowrider. I dont have the auton tune pro, just the standard.
Right now i have a tune from fuel moto for basic stage one for stock headers with cat and SE nightstick Also have fuel moto air cleaner stage 1.
i am planning on modifying the stock head pipe, basically removing something. I thought it wound benefit from a few runs on the auto tune after the modification.
I understand how to hook it up and send tunes and all that but i cant find any info on how i am suppose to run the bike so it can record the data for the tune. I just need a basic overview of how to do an auto tune session. and do you need to do multiple tunes to get it right?
Vary your speed and rpm, but you are only tuning closed loop, so acceleration should be smooth. Load the first tune, then do the second run against it, etc. Each tune needs to improve on the previous. There should be lots of explanation and videos on sites for Dynojet and Fuel Moto. Then, ride it like you would normally, for one or two sessions.
Best place to start will be watching these two videos, they give a great overview of the auto tune process.
A few tricks I learned; be sure to have the bike fully warmed up before you start an auto tune run. As they'll show you in the videos, monitor the run as the cells fill with data, it will show you the areas you're not hitting and you can adjust your riding accordingly. The aim is to max out as many cells as you can to red. The bike will run like rubbish during the auto tune run; perfectly normal.
When you're finished with a run don't turn off the ignition but rather use the kill switch. With the bike not running you can then stop the run, save the new tune and apply it before you finally turn off the ignition.
It takes a few runs, each run building on the previous runs as you continue to improve the tune but the results are well worth it
