I'm working on my bar end blinkers (M-Disc) and the installation instructions call for an o-ring, washer, rubber sleeve, washer, nut stacked in that order. The o-ring seems like an odd fit or location. It almost seems like it should be be seated in the big groove at the blinker body (circled below). Tho, that would put it basically at the end of the grip which could interfere with throttle action.
When i removed it from the grip, the o ring was in that big groove and it was not in the way of the throttle. I just rolled it out of the groove to show you how i have it set up right before i twist it in the grip
