I have had this Raving-Psycho mount for two years and i have nothing but good things to say about the mount itself.
I bought it with a USB charger and that lasted about a year before is shorted out from rain while I was in Sturgis last year. Could have been a looooong ride home to Colorado Springs without music. Luckily, $40 got me an HD usb charger and that got me home.
Back to the mount. It is ALL METAL! It has nemory foam to conform to the shape of your phone which works great after two years of use and you can mount it on your hand controls or buy it with the bar mount.
I use the ram mount with a claw grip on the bars. Infact I have 3 ram mounts. One that takes the place of the controls half moon, the claw grip, and one that screws on the mirror stem. Lots of junk but when your touring I needed the crap.
Power vision, xgrip for cellphone, and cup holder.
I tried the HD one, that mounts onto the handlebars using the screws near the grip. Now maybe it's just because my bars come over my fairing, but within several miles of riding my phone had started to come loose while I was on the highway, took the phone off and put it between my legs until I could pull over.
So that's the only advice I have, avoid the Harley one. Phone was iPhone 6s in an otterbox.
I've been looking for a solution and thinking about trying out the rokform mount and corresponding phone case.
Let me know what you think after trying the Rokform Motorcycle Mount. I love it because it's MADE IN THE USA. It is a quality piece of CNC Machined Genius. Rokform is doing a great Memorial Day Weekend sale too.
