Anyone have any recommendations for a phone mount? I have a 2013 street bob and am thinking of getting the kuryakyn tech connect device. Any feedback would be appreciated.
I tried the HD one, that mounts onto the handlebars using the screws near the grip. Now maybe it's just because my bars come over my fairing, but within several miles of riding my phone had started to come loose while I was on the highway, took the phone off and put it between my legs until I could pull over.
So that's the only advice I have, avoid the Harley one. Phone was iPhone 6s in an otterbox.
I've been looking for a solution and thinking about trying out the rokform mount and corresponding phone case.
I use a Ram X mount attached to the inner part of my fairing. Nice construction, and seems to be a quality product. I've just started using it, maybe 200 miles so far, but it's solid.
I've been using the Harley mount for many months with no issues. It's the only one I found that would hold my IPhone 6+. The thumb screws have detents that prevent them from loosening. You can even keep the phone in the case of your choice. The only downside I found is it's not cheap.
Look nice. The others mentioned are just WAY too bulky for my tastes. Thanks to the removable swivel post, this one could modded easy to mount almost anywhere.
I picked up the HD phone mount and had it on the brake lever housing but changed to the center handlebar housing. Had to put in a couple of spacers but it is now centered just above the speedo. I may use longer spacers to get a better fit but like where it is at.

Same experience here. I have about 800 miles on mine with not problems. Only issue is price, and I wish it were in the center of the bars instead of by clutch lever.
