96 wide glide just replaced shift arm inside lever to fix an earlier problem..
Now when I ride and am cruising along and I go to give it hard gas the revs go up but the bike doesn't move as fast as it sounds the motor is working.. Anyone have an idea? I've heard things like slipping clutch but I've adjusted the clutch based on the manual.
The belts have teeth. If it was slipping, you'd have one helluva messed up belt. My bet is on the clutch. Just because it's adjusted per the manual doesn't mean it isn't worn out.
Quick update, pulled derby cover and lock nut and Allen screw was very loose. Guess I forgot to tighten it down before I closed it up. Adjusted and fixed the problem. Thanks everyone
